Adobe License Agreement Change-Over
As part of VCU's Adobe enterprise agreement renewal, new product licenses have been provided which are equivalent to all existing licenses. VCU accounts must be migrated to these new licenses before Friday, June 6th, 2025.
If you already have an Adobe software license associated with your VCU email address, your account will transition automatically to a new license and you will retain the same level of access you have currently. You may need to sign-out of your account and sign-in again using your VCU email address. You may receive one or more emails from Adobe which are automatically sent once changes are made to your account.
For more details including information about automated emails you may have received, please continue reading below. Each drop-down section provides details for the respective Adobe software license type.
If you have an Adobe Acrobat Pro Only license (all eligible full-time VCU employees) you will receive a welcome email from Adobe (see screenshot below). This process is normal and expected as we change-over licensing to our new product licensing under VCU's new Adobe enterprise agreement. If you've received this email, it means you have an active Adobe Acrobat Pro license associated with your VCU Adobe account.
Note: This is a template email. Not ALL of the capabilities listed are available under VCU's Adobe Enterprise plan at the moment and some features require access to Adobe's Document Cloud platform which is fully disabled for ALL VCU end-users (both students and employees). For more information about limitations for VCU Adobe accounts, please visit our Adobe Cloud Access page.
If you have an Adobe Creative Cloud license (all currently-enrolled VCU Students and some VCU employee) you may receive a welcome email from Adobe. This process is normal and expected as we change-over licensing to our new product licensing under VCU's new Adobe enterprise agreement. If you've received this email, it means you have an active Adobe Creative Cloud license associated with your VCU Adobe account.

Not ALL of the capabilities listed are available under VCU's Adobe Enterprise plan at the moment and some features require access to Adobe's Document Cloud platform which is fully disabled for ALL VCU end-users (both students and employees).
