Shell Eco-marathon Engineering Competition

We are excited to announce that Adobe is sponsoring this year’s Shell Eco-marathon “Pitch the Future” challenge, which brings student teams together in a virtual setting to engineer creative solutions for a series of real-world problems. The Shell Eco-marathon program is one of the world’s leading student engineering competitions, and for the first time, students from around the world will virtually pitch their ideas. In addition to receiving a grand prize from Shell, teams can also qualify for a separate Adobe Recognition Award, which will celebrate teams that demonstrate the most innovative use of Adobe Creative Cloud in their Pitch the Future submissions.


The Cover Art Song Contest

Student Contest: ADOBE ANALYTICS CHALLENGE

For over 13 years, the Adobe Analytics Challenge has been a unique analytics-focused business case competition where university students are given the opportunity to use Adobe’s industry-leading analytics products and access to real-world data from leading organizations such as Major League Baseball, T‑Mobile, Starwood, Lenovo, Condé Nast, Comcast, Overstock.com, Backcountry.com, Sony PlayStation, and MGM Resort International.

The winning team in 2019 took home $35,000. Cash prizes go to the top 6 teams.

Additionally, over the years, Adobe has hired more than 50 students from this program, and it has been a valuable recruiting pool for other companies and agencies looking for data‑driven talent. Faculty sponsors can also win!

VCU Designated as an Adobe Creative Campus

VCU is the first school in Virginia to earn the designation of Creative Campus from Adobe. By incorporating problem solving into our curricula and fostering 21st-century methods of teaching and learning, VCU embraces teaching digital literacy skills in higher education. Our students learn the skill of persuasive communication, allowing them to clearly express ideas in the classroom and showcase their personal brands to future employers. Student engagement in coursework increases with more immersive projects, such as creating podcasts, web pages, and documentaries. Adobe Scholarships for Students

The Design Circle scholarship will help reach untapped youth communities and foster more diversity in the design industry. Adobe awards 10 annual college scholarships -- up to $25,000 per year, for each year of the recipient’s undergraduate education (up to four years or $100,000).
